| No chainmaille site is complete without a bit of horn-tooting. *grin* Here's a brief (as possible) bio about myself. |

My name is Andrew. I'm in my late 30's, living in Houston, TX,
and I've been fiddling with chainmaille since November 2005. I
didn't get seriously into it until mid 2006. At that point, I
acquired the addiction and have been at it ever since. It's the
first hobby I've stuck with that's lasted more than 6 months, and it
just keeps getting better the longer I'm at it. So much so that I've had to start a business so I can sell the works I make in order to buy more rings so I can make more chainmaille and sell the works to buy more rings... *laughing* |

My day job has me working IT
support for an major energy company in Houston, but it's just a job that
provides basic support income plus some luxuries for my fiancee and I.
However, due to the nature of the job, I have plenty of time while doing
it to work on chainmaille, giving me at least a few hours every day.
This makes it easier to get projects done quickly and give me plenty of
time to experiment and play. As for the Chayn Lynx company name, I'd spent WEEKS working up ideas for a name that appealed to me. Something that would associate directly with chainmaille but that wouldn't push the cornball factor too far. *laughing* Seems to be working, so far. Rebecca, fiancee and wonderful woman all around, is a big motivator for me, not to mention has a direct hand in many of my more successful and popular pieces, especially the chainmaille bikini. And she makes corsets. |
Rebecca, my beautiful fiancee. She puts up with my chainmaille
habit far beyond what I deserve. |
